| This
is intended to replace the hearsay rules that have been in existence for many
years. We spoke with several past track directors to get the information for
this form. These rules are intended to keep the team managers, track directors
and riders in agreement on the running of teams. This is intended to eliminate
any claims of favoritism. We expect everyone to read and understand the rules.
If any team manager has suggestions to improve the competition in a positive
manner, please let us know. |
| |
|
Team managers will receive a copy of these rules; a signed copy will be retained
by registration. |
| |
|
Team managers are to promote a positive attitude towards all riders. We will not
tolerate team captains or team riders heckling riders from other teams or other
riders. |
| |
|
When
switching teams, there is a 30-day waiting period for riders on a nationally
ranked team.
|
| |
|
When
switching teams during the season there is a 2-week waiting period for
all other riders.
|
| |
| A
team roster must be made out at the start of each New Year. This form must be
signed and dated by the team captain and the track director. A team roster must
be turned in prior to turning in a team sheet. At the start of a new
year riders may switch teams without having to wait the 2 weeks. This switch
must be done prior to handing in the first roster. |
| |
| When adding or removing a
rider from a roster the team manager of both teams and track director must date
and initial the change in the roster. |
| |
| The managers of the 2
teams must be in agreement of the rider change. |
| |
| You
may enter up to 2 teams however only 1 sheet will count. If a team has 2
different teams (i.e.: A & B) then 2 different rosters must be
filled out. |
| |
| Team
members must be on “A” or “B” team roster. |
| |
|
Each team must have 4 different entries, 5 with
an optional girl. The exception to this rule is if a team does not have the
minimum number of riders present, then the team captain may place fewer riders
on the team sheet. |
| |
|
Team entries must be a
legitimate team
|
| |
| You may use the same rider
on 2 different teams. It must be a different class such as open class, regular
class, etc. (A rider may be on “A” team for class and “B” team for cruiser but
the rider must be listed as such on team rosters.) |
| |
| You must designate the
class you are using for each rider. |
| |
|
Your team entry must be
turned in to scoring prior to the first gate drop.
|
| |
|
Team managers paying race
fees must have the money turned in to registration prior to the first gate drop.
|
| |
| Teams riding the parade
lap will show respect towards the flag. This is not a time for showing off
riding tricks. Track directors reserve the right to stop a parade lap or
prohibit a team from participating in a parade lap if riders demonstrate poor
behavior. |
| |
| Riders not
participating in the parade lap will show respect during the parade lap, no
talking, getting gear on or ignoring the National anthem. |
| |
|
Team captains may not
protest a call on the track. It is the responsibility of the rider to approach
the nearest track official where the offense occurred and discuss it within 10
motos.
|
| |
| Team finishes will be
announced. 1 representative from the team may approach scoring at the conclusion
of a race to turn in the team copy of the team sheet. |
| |
| When a team wins a first
place the team captain may come into registration and request a 1st
place trophy. The trophy will be the same as the riders 1st place
trophy. |
| |
| We reserve the right to
eliminate team participation at Winnebagoland BMX. Teams not abiding by the
rules, or exhibit unsportsmanlike behavior may be disqualified. |
